Our Centers and Programs

The Institute for Social and Behavioral Research (ISBR) serves as a collaborative hub, joining together the expertise of several centers and programs. By harnessing the longstanding, rich expertise of five IU centers, and launching new resources, ISBR supports high-impact research to address pressing challenges within the state of Indiana and beyond. The breadth of research, methodological design, program evaluation, qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, and data access and management support offered under the new institute will boost faculty research at every stage, from pilot and exploratory work to large-scale external grant funding in high-priority transformative research areas.

    Conducts high-quality evaluation, policy analysis, and research that address real-world problems across multiple academic disciplines and sectors.

    A leader in survey research for over 40 years, CSR provides state-of-the-art qualitative and quantitative research services to researchers from diverse substantive areas spanning business, education, and the social and health sciences.

    Indiana Statistical Consulting Center

    Provides statistical support, including analysis and interpretation of data, for a variety of academic fields and a variety of purposes.

    Indiana Federal Statistical Research Data Center

    Provides researchers with access to restricted-use microdata from Federal agencies as part of the Federal Statistical Research Data Center system.

    Facilitates social science research on the Bloomington campus by providing research infrastructure, support, and training to social science faculty and graduate students.

    QualHub is an initiative to connect researchers with support for qualitative and mixed-methods data collection and analysis.
